A monthly candle subscription made using rescued glassware and recycled wax

Each month, you’ll receive a hand-poured candle in a carefully reclaimed vessel, usually around the size of our standard 30cl glassware. Every piece is made in the UK using a 50/50 blend of our own recycled waxes, giving beautiful materials a second life while keeping the experience of receiving a new candle each month.

What you’ll receive

• One scented candle each month

• A product that is slightly more varied and one-off than our core range, with each vessel selected for reuse where possible

Subscription schedule

Second Life Candle Club ships on a monthly cycle.

• Subscribers are charged on the 1st of each month
• Orders are dispatched in the first week of the month
• Sign up by the 26th of the month to receive the next month’s shipment
• Sign up after the 26th and your first candle will be included in the following month’s dispatch

This helps us pour in small batches, manage rescued vessels carefully, and keep the subscription running smoothly.

Introductory price: £18, then £20/month

Your first candle is £18. From your second delivery onwards, your subscription renews at £20 per month. You can skip, pause, or cancel anytime.

Second Life Candle Club is priced differently from our main glass range because it is built around reuse.

Instead of using only new vessels in a standard format, this subscription gives a second life to glassware that has already passed through our recycling process and is suitable for reuse. That means every candle is a little more individual, a little less uniform, and part of a way of working that keeps materials in use for longer before recycling them.

It also means subscribers get access to a more experimental and flexible side of Recycled Wax: rescued vessels, rotating scents, and small-batch pours at a more accessible monthly price.

Why reuse matters

Recycling is important, but reuse is even better where possible.

Before a glass vessel is recycled, cleaned down, and processed as waste, there is an opportunity to use it again. Reusing glassware helps keep materials in circulation for longer and avoids some of the energy and processing involved in breaking materials down and remaking them.

Every vessel used in Second Life Candle Club is carefully inspected and cleaned. Where we believe a vessel can safely and beautifully be given a second life, this subscription is one of the ways we make that happen.

Carbon

Using recycled wax helps reduce the need for newly produced materials. Based on our current methodology, we estimate that using 1 kg of recycled wax helps avoid around 0.48–0.65 kgCO₂e, compared to typical disposal and virgin wax production.

Because each monthly candle uses recycled wax as part of its blend, subscribers are taking part in a more circular system that helps keep materials in use and reduce waste.

We estimate that each Second Life Candle helps avoid roughly 0.3–0.4 kgCO₂e, thanks to its recycled wax content and the reuse of rescued glassware.

Fragrance

Second Life Candle Club is designed for people who like the ritual of a new candle arriving each month, but also want something a little less fixed and a little more resourceful.

Scents will rotate through our in-house fragrances, seasonal favourites, new launches, and occasional small-batch blends we are testing or developing. The vessel may vary from month to month, but the approach stays the same: thoughtful scent, careful making, and beautiful materials given another use.
